Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasound is a treatment modality we often incorporate into patient’s treatment plans here at Restore Chiropractic. Our machines are capable of three separate frequency of therapeutic ultrasound in order to tailor your treatment based on the severity, location, and depth of your injury. A water-based gel is applied to the patient’s skin and the ultrasound device conducts soundwaves into the patient’s soft tissue through the gel medium. The device applies deep heating effects to soft tissue structures such as ligaments, tendons, muscles and fascia. This increase in tissue temperature decreases pain for the patient with soft tissue pain. Ultrasound improves tissue elasticity and mobility while simultaneously increasing circulation ultimately leading to better clinical outcomes especially when combined with other treatments.
