Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder can cause a severe amount of pain and discomfort for those it affects. Common symptoms such as pain and stiffness usually start to worsen gradually until often making it impossible to move the affected shoulder. It is a form of adhesive capsulitis and can take up to 3 years to resolve if left untreated. It often affects throwing athletes such as baseball players, but it also affects about 2 percent of the general adult population.

Patients often concede to corticosteroid injections or surgery to alleviate pain, but the study below and many more like it highlight the ability of chiropractic care to correct frozen shoulder without the use of drugs or surgery. Chiropractic care can restore shoulder motion, decrease pain and prevent the reoccurrence of adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder).
